Birck Boilermaker Junior Program
KIDS LEARN THE FUNDAMENTALS
The goal of the Junior Boilermaker Golf Programs is to ensure that kids enjoy learning the fundamentals of the game by focusing on providing a fun learning environment. Many programs are scheduled in 2023 to give juniors the opportunity to experience the game of golf. Junior Boilermaker Golf Programs are open to any and all participants. Please email golfpro@purdue.edu with any questions.
This program will replace the After School Golf program.
Birck Boilermaker First Tee Program
FIRST TEE OF GREATER LAFAYETTE
The First Tee of Indiana has expanded its reach into the Tippecanoe County area. The Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex will continue to teach the First Tee curriculum. All sessions are lead by Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex Head PGA Professional Dan Ross. Each week will be a 1-hour long session covering various topics included in the prescribed curriculum. Announcing our First Tee Fall Sessions
First Tee Wednesdays:
We will have four sessions on Wednesday evenings for experienced golfers this fall with lots of great practice time, game night, and a parent/child team event at the end. (Parents and grandparents don’t play golf? We will provide you a partner!)

5:45pm – 7:00pm
First Tee Saturdays:
Instructional sessions will take place on four Saturday mornings, two in September and two in October (avoiding Purdue home football games).

PGA Jr. LEAGUE GOLF
The PGA Junior League Golf (PGA JLG) is designed to better socialize the game for girls and boys, ages 8 to 13 (cannot turn 14 before August 1, 2023). PGA JLG features team vs. team match play competitions versus other local JLG teams. A 2-person scramble format is used to create a less stressful environment for players of all abilities. This is a great way to get kids involved in the game and parents are encouraged to participate! Teams will be comprised of 8-12 players and registration is limited. The BBGC has typically had two 12 player teams each year. Deadline to sign up is April 24, 2023.
PGA JLG Players Receive: Two Team Jerseys, Golf Balls, PGA JLG Bag Tags, Instruction from PGA Professionals, & Opportunity for All-Star Advancement. Cost of the PGA Junior League is $250 per junior player.
Practices: Monday Nights from 6:00 – 7:15 PM
- Practices will start on May 8th and go through May 29th
Approx 6 Competitions: Schedule to be given at 1st Practice
